The House of Marketing assists leading players in the field of Human Resource services whether it be recruitment, interim, payroll providers, or large end to end providers of human capital solutions. We define the HR sector with a value chain made up of three parts; in, through and out. “In” includes interim, talent management and secondment providers. “Through” includes HR strategy firms, competency and performance management firms, payroll specialists, and security and health firms. “Out” includes outplacement companies.
We observe that the HR services sector is one that is going through rapid change. This is driven in part by the need for companies to find good talent and in part by HR providers wanting to offer a broader range of solutions. We are also seeing a consolidation in the market and the entrance of new players with innovative offerings. Traditional players are going through a metamorphosis to offer broader solutions. Take for example interim providers, whilst some have not changed, others have reshaped their services to provide HR consulting solutions as they strive to become trusted advisors when it comes to people. Examples of issues challenging the future growth among HR-related services providers:
- Countering pressures from new international entrants with aggressive cost models and aggressive business goals to gain more share
- Making the right investments to offer a more compelling HR product portfolio
- Finding resources with relevant competencies (marketing, IT, operations) and ensuring that these can be integrated in the business and in a position to challenge traditional thinking
- Changing the current mindset of customers to raise awareness of the broader services offered
- Protecting existing customer base and getting more out of existing customer relationships
- Launching new and innovative products that deliver and capture value to the market
- Developing channel strategy to reflect new possibilities in the virtual channels and delivering enhanced customer experiences
The House of Marketing has extensive experience helping leading players in different parts of the HR sector to grow. Our capabilities cover four marketing domains: marketing strategy, enhancing customer experience, optimizing organizational capabilities and improving marketing performance. Examples of client interventions:
- Helping a leading HR provider to segment customer base to identify areas of untapped potential and where the organization should focus
- Executing integrated marketing communication campaigns within defined target
- Developing and codifying planning and operational processes for more effective marketing decisions and management
- Building segment specific plans to activate areas of opportunities
- Developing new positioning for a HR player that is compelling to both targets and employees
- Deployment of customer relationship management strategies, systems and processes
